Jjjj your dreams seem clearly analyzable to me, but I won't attempt it.
Me too, to be honest (esp. the Cambridge one). But why Elton? :?

Actually, I dream a lot at the moment of being in strange, unfamiliar buildings, hotels, museums, etc. It's not entirely unpleasant but must be linked to the strange, unfamiliar situation in which we currently find ourselves.

I have, much more mundanely, dreamt about being in situations where people get too lcose to me. This is probably because whenever I vernture out of the house, I seems to be in situations (albeit a bit less extreme) in whcih people get too close to me. Bl**dy south London.
That deserves a <:)> But it also made me smile as it reminded me of a song by your distant relation. I hate people getting too close at work and it makes me want to sing at them:

Don't hang around, 'cos two's a crowd...

Does anybody else think the government are lifting restrictions a bit too much rather than in small steps?

I work in childcare, and to be quite honest I’m horrified that they’re allowing the children back so soon. How the government expect little ones to social distance. I’m genuinely concerned that we’ll see a spike in the cases of Covid-19 in the next couple of weeks.

On one hand I’m desperate for it to be all over, however I don’t want ‘normality’ to be rushed when it’s not safe to do so.

Apparently we can car share to work with other colleagues as long as we don’t look at each other and wind the windows down. I actually thought this was a wind up, but it’s not, and the Government think this is safer rather than use public transport.

I’m continuing to remain local for my daily exercise, and only going shopping once a week for groceries. I know a lot of parents are concerned about the possibility of the children returning to school and nursery on June 1st. I’m hoping the date gets pushed back.

Sorry for the long post, but needed to get it off my chest.

<:)> Maddie.

I share your concerns. The Daily Mail was urging teachers to be "heroes" by returning to school, but heroes are heroes for acting in the face of real and present danger.

In the face of real and present danger, who would want children to be there with them?

I detest the Daily Mail and would not, quite frankly, wipe my bottom with it, however hard loo roll shortages ever become again. 'Tis easier to be a DM hack than a teacher, that's for sure

Continue to be as safe as you can, and I hope you're not recalled too soon <:)>

On a happier note, it is so lovely to hear you posting again \:)/

Thanks Mark <:)> it helps being able to air my thoughts. I’m back in work on Monday having been off for the past 7 weeks. There’s loads of preparations to do before the children return in a couple of weeks. I’m glad to be going back to work, and getting back into some kind of routine, but neverless I’m still worried. I think we’re going to have to get used to a new ‘normal’ for now.

Hmm sounds like iffy science. Or could just be because smokers tend to socialize outside? Less time in the corvid-thick atmosphere of bars and nightclubs.

Thanks for the link, pickles.
Seems like good advice. Are you sleep deprived yourself atm?

Mmm MDMA
Like any drug innit? Probably got a narrow range of therapeutic use.
Dangerous in overdose - a colleague once described a 17 year old boy dying in A+E from serotonin syndrome, whose fingers were turning back on themselves he was so clonic
someone else told me it’s a bit ‘meh’ - you just love everyone for 20 mins
Daughter tells me her mates don’t think it’s a good Saturday night out without MDMA

Why dabble? Chances are you’re gonna get hooked especially the younger you are and the sooner you start with something that’s boosting neurotransmitters

Plenty of less dangerous, natural stuff to choose from and make u feel good!

Ahh, if only you could bless every youngster with a good start and good sense!

drugs aren't illegal because they are dangerous, they are dangerous because they are illegal.
Alcohol and cigarettes are both legal and very dangerous, more so than most of the illegal ones.

To be fair, food addiction and eating disorders are a great deal harder to manage than other addictions, because abstinence isn't an option.
78 thousand people die in the UK every year from smoking - now that's a pandemic.

I understand where you’re coming from newtie and I know it’s partly tongue in cheek but I don’t accept your assertions or statements, sorry! :)

I think we’re probably entrenched in our viewpoints and it’s not really the medium here, it’s too complex and theres too much to say.

I liked the video bringing out that addiction has It’s roots in vulnerability, but it’s wrong to say addictive drugs are not addictive. Diamorphine is not generally prescribed for post op pain, although other opiates are, short term. Its used more in terminal disease.

Why did we need to give up alcohol if we weren’t addicted?

Scotland’s alcohol use has fallen with minimum unit price increases although of course, such measures are also harder on the poor. No easy solutions. Prohibition was never the answer. Education is better

Obesity is difficult and complex. Not caused by lack of tobacco, anyway. Tax works, but again, hits the poor sadly and it’s already a disease strongly linked to health inequalities
