3287! 9 years ago to the day Rachel (took me ages to count back - but luckily Siri did it in a nanosecond!) :P Awesome!

And I read belated 10year's to TC and CJ

I remember meeting you both in 2012/13 ish when I was only a few months AF, both an inspiration!

Edit - just had to go back over my posts and it was March 2013 in Brighton. I was 5 months AF then, I remember feeling very raw still. You both said back then it gets easier with time and it does.

Thanks both!

Gosh when was that meet up ST? It must be quite a few years now. It must be getting on for two years since I was in the London Bridge area full stop.

Now the Brighton meet where I met you TC... that must have been shortly after my last drink. I think CJ was just over one (year) and I remember still being doubtful I'd ever get to one. I feel quite a different person in many ways.

Hi everyone,

Well day 600 slipped by and I was too busy to notice, so it’s now 602 days apparently. Not bad for “stopping for a week or so” as I was “drinking too much”.

Every day felt like I was serving a prison sentence in those early days but in reality I was just not used to the freedom from addiction.

Still, I have a long way to go to match some of the fantastic efforts from others on here! Inspirational!

Well done CJ and TC (belated, soz)! and EH, good to see the days and years clocking up.

10 years Rachel :o no idea where the time goes. I see I've been on here 13 years, blimey. BE has been the single biggest factor in my recovery, no contest.

I actually saw some really good ducks recently, including eiders, not to mention some nice coastal wading birds. I still have a lot of corvids visiting my garden: there's a big ceramic dish with water in, and it was entertaining watching a pretty hefty crow cramming himself in for a bath this morning - another crow comes and soaks last night's chips from the takeaway in it.

I was on here but not on here before 2011, Fuzzy. Yes definitely helped me. About 10 weeks after my last drink, I had my usual sudden very, very stong desire to drink one lunch hour. People on here (TC was one of them) basically stopped me. I never had that strong urge again, I am glad to say.

I am incredibly grateful to all.
