Great job, Ed! :\:

There isn't enough alcohol in the world to make you happier, calmer, prettier, more clever or less angry.
Only sobriety will help you achieve these attributes.

Happy Sunday everybody.

Another Sober purchase this week....what did I do with all my money before I quit drinking. Oh I know, I spent it on drinking!

I dread to think the money I have spent on booze in the last 30 years. It's funny how the money I spent on booze was a final consideration in why I should stop, Not sure on what other peoples thoughts on this are.

It also got me thinking to what my personal top reasons for quitting were;

1. Health
2. How it effecting my life (selfishly)
3. Money
4. How it is effecting others around me.

Anyway, enough of the waffle just thinking out loud with a coffee, here is the bike :D ----- Happy Sunday

What a great investment Smithster!

I must have spent a good 5k a year on alcohol :roll: I'd agree with you about putting health top of the list, although I'd probably put my my mental health top and my physical health second. Work and relationships figure strongly too - it's hard to put in list order because they are all so interlinked.

I have a Sober counting app. It reckons I have saved around £6300 in 420 days!

Although I have spent a lot of that money on other things (Mainly Ice cream and chocolate). It does make you shudder!!!!

Well Smithster…I know we’re not really counting as such but I thought I’d just highlight that we’ve reached 1 year and 2 months today. Go sober twin! (::)

You’ve been 6 days ahead of me for two years Wilson. I’ve been trying to catch you but the gap never closes! 🙂. Congrats!

That's just awesome Wilson. What a massive turn around you've had, it's like a different life. Love seeing pics of your little one, who has a dad to be proud of.
