Day 4. 24 sober from 30, happy with that, but I seem to be on a holding pattern at present. I suppose that gives me time to stabilise or firm up my current habit, then I can improve further on that. I will never forget my old day 1,s plus the 2,3, and 4. Withdrawn, no appetite, can't sleep, shakes, sweats and the thought that that I can't break free. It was 2018 since I experienced that and I never want to go back there. On Friday I had a few drinks after 16 days alcohol free and on Saturday I had 5 pints and 35 cl of vodka, a lot for some but for me that would have led to a 70 cl bottle of vodka and 2 beers on day 3 then a continuation until I'm feeling to ill/ low to drink. When I drink these days the alarm bells ring and I get it stopped as soon as I can because I know exactly were it will lead.

Hi Rose,

I’m starting Friday.
Just having a couple of beers now & tomorrow.
Working anyway & I learnt a long time ago not to get smashed on a school night.
Suffered horrendous hangovers years ago.
Partied until wee hours then woke like death haha.
Stupid me.
Ain’t done that in years though so no chance I’ll be doing it now.

From the 1st I’m going all in 👍😎

Keep on people 👍😎

You’re great 👍

Morning Everyone,

Great job on smashing Day 1 Leslans ;)?
Day 5 Maria, brilliant (::)

Well I’m commencing day 3 already. Feeling quite chuffed despite slight dip at weekend. Not so long ago I felt really, really trapped and miserable, drinking every day even though I didn’t want to. Now I feel hope. ;)?

Good morning seveners :\: some amazing achievements here, we are doing well. Day 7 for me but I won't be moving over to the next thread quite yet as I feel more comfortable here. I've got a presentation in a couple of hours so I'm really pleased to have a clear head for that. Happy Halloween everyone, have an amazing day xxx

Morning all. I'm going to try again. I can feel the ache and pain in my liver. The damage is done but I need to stop. I'm going to take it hour at a time once finished work. To be honest and I really need to be I've used my local shops so much recently trying to buy from different ones that um now too embarrassed to go in them which is probably a good thing.

Hey PB&J <:)>
Welcome back.
I’m having a rough time with drinking, back on day 1 again.
Feeling really unwell 😔
I’m like a bloody stuck record at the moment.
I’m sick of making myself sick 🤢
You never regret NOT drinking the next morning.

Hi Guys :\:

Day 6.....been a while that’s for sure. Had a few permission thoughts but batted them away again. Gosh this is hard work BUT something I have to do. Just need to change my mindset. For so long Alcohol has played a big part in my life and I’ve wasted so much time when I should/could have spent it on so much more important/enjoyable things. Life is short and I’m not looking back but looking forward although I don’t know what lies ahead :o one thing I know for sure I don’t want alcohol to rule my life anymore (thinking about it, wasting money, etc).

Katey - I’m hot on your tail  know what you mean about staying on this thread.
Welcome back PB&J. You can do this.
LBNS - great that you’ve come back... I know it’s hard but you will get there. Never give up on yourself..you are so worth it.
Hi Maria, Action, leslans & Smallt - Lets do this!
Pork...See you tomorrow

Sorry if if missed anyone.

Have a good evening all

Kitty xx

Evening Everyone.

Congratulations on day 7 Katey, I hope the presentation went well. Excellent job on day 6 Kitty and for crushing those temptations. (::)

LBNS and PB&J ❤️ Hold on to your faith...you can get AF days under your belt. One step at a time and remember every AF day is a great achievement. <:)> PB&J - try not to push yourself too hard in the early days... perhaps you can just concentrate on eating well and building yourself before you hit the gym. Can you go for a calming walk instead to blow the cobwebs away.

Glad you are feeling optimistic Maria. ;)?

Day 3 complete for me. Had a really busy day and totally shattered now but me and the woof are fed and watered, showered (just me) and crashed in front of the tv relaxing.
