Day 2
Blip on Wed but managed to get through yesterday: and also stuck to my diet.

Day 4. no wobbles yet, but today is my busiest day at work of the week. I normally 'reward' myself with a drink when I get through it, so today is going to be a challenge.

Morning Seveners :\:

Just wanted to say how well you are all doing (::) For me, this was the most difficult time & took a lot for me to get through it (I'm 11 days now & still a massive work in progress).

Just try & keep positive, wake up every morning & tell yourself that you are finally free!! If I could harness the feeling of waking up not hungover, I would.... I'd be a millionaire!!

Have a fab day all.... Be kind to yourselves xx
Why couldn't I be addicted to housework

Hi Everyone \:)/

Day 5, felt unwell for most of the week, I think a combination of alcoholic binge Sunday and third COVID vaccination. Today is my first day for two weeks where I've felt half human.

Absolutely no desire to drink, which is fabulous. The thought of it makes me feel unwell.

Day 11 Happy \:)/ \:)/ way to go <:)>

Swordie, I totally agree that perimenopause and menopause should be better understood and out there. I think a lot of women my age here in Australia are unemployed and homeless because nobody wants to give a menopausal woman a job because of the time off, brain fog, all those symptoms. I had about a year where I couldn't think straight, had a breakdown, was bullied and quit my job. I'm so glad to mostly be over that now. Nowadays I have more lucid days than not thankfully.

Hope you're all well, hugs , <:)> <:)>

Hi Everyone,

Day 6 for me.

Definitely feeling better now, think I have also made up for the sleep deprivation I had Tuesday night sitting in emergency until 2 am with a really sore eye (booster shot, not sure). Eye is almost at a hundred percent and they couldn't find anything wrong.

It was nice to sleep almost through the night, I was so surprised when I saw it was later morning. Drinking definitely interferes with sleep

How's everyone else going?

Thanks Swordie <:)> <:)>

Take care,

Vic

Thanks for the encouragement, Swordie! As i expected, yesterday was a challenge especially because I had to visit the supermarket. This triggered thoughts of alcohol but fortunately I stayed strong. I stocked up on food and stuff to ensure that I don't need to go for at least a week, which should reduce some temptation.

Well done on day 6, Vic! I too had my third vaccine this week with no side-effects other than a sore arm.

Stay strong everyone! I hope to see you all in 'the next 2-4 weeks' thread next week! ;)?

Hi Tog, thank you :D

It's always so difficult if the alcohol is in the shop. I remember a few years back, I used to drive a different way to work just so I didn't go past a bottle shop. Glad you're doing okay and staying strong <:)>

I will definitely see you on that thread.

Catch you all tomorrow <:)>

Vic xx

Yay, so I missed a day again, thinking it was Saturday today, so it's day 7 and no wobbles.

I'm off to the two week thread tomorrow, see you there <:)> <:)>

Have a great day everyone, or sleep well if you're in Aus :D

Day 4
It’s Sunday, footy at 2 and guess what… I am struggling.
Just taking it step by step and surfing the urges as best I can.
