Maybe try crondino? You can get it off Amazon
It’s amazing apparently in Italy people often drink it as a choice

How is Sunday morning everyone?
I slept right through - that rarely happens!
Currently avoiding a report I’ve been putting off writing - will make myself crack on with it before I get out my pit
Think I’m generally a bit low and I think the alcohol’s been contributing, false friend that it is
Summer and Covid freedom are coming and I have much to be grateful for
How is everyone else?
Hope we all made it through Sat night ok?

Hello everyone - still here on day 3. Slept well and was feeling good earlier, but I’m starting to feel a bit restless and twitchy now. So time to get an early dinner going, methinks.

How did the report writing go, Winkler? Maybe some extra B vitamins would help with the tiredness? Look after yourself. I’m the worst procrastinator ever, but I’ve written a list of things to get through this week which I might have a chance of actually doing (some of!) if I’m not sitting around wasting time with a glass of wine in my hand.

Jj, thanks, I’ve googled the Crodino, it sounds right up my street! I’ve always liked a glass of Campari and orange, prefer a bit of bite and bitterness.

Hi Johnnyb , good to see you. Hang in there everyone, you know it makes sense.

Hi everyone :\:

Hope you’re all enjoying your Sunday

I’ve been focusing on work this morning, trying to get a head start on the coming week .... I’m feeling really stressed right now, I’ve got a presentation on Wednesday, with that and not drinking, I’ve been on the verge of tears all day .... feeling a bit sorry for myself .... this too shall pass .... I hope

How is everyone else, hope you all made it through the weekend ok xxx

Ah, Lynn, sorry to hear you’re stressed. I used to tell myself that “good enough” has to be good enough sometimes, don’t worry about perfect. But that’s easier said than done. In three months time I bet you won’t remember what happened at work this week, but you’ll be really happy to still be sober.

Hope you’re feeling better Lynne.
I felt better having done my report but resentful it took half my Sunday away and my house still looked a s***hole at 3pm
Hey ho, the housework got (not very thoroughly) done eventually
Very true, Ali Sarah, good enough has to be good enough. Funnily enough, I have been taking some multivitamins recently, not something I usually do. They were in the special offers in Aldi, heard someone else pointing them out to his wife :D

Hey Johnny, we’re getting there ;)?

Day 4 done.
Glad you’re feeling better Lynn and still here.
I’m trying to work up some motivation to set a long term goal, but at the moment I’ll settle for a good night’s sleep.

Bet wishes all.

Challenging work day again
This evening I was wanting to drink, despite everything
Someone said on the road to abstinence, even though you know rationally what to expect, it doesn’t stop you wanting to do it when the thought hits, or something like that
Anyway, safely in bed
But I ate lots of sugar and didn’t make the virtual Pilates class again
Sleep now, need it lots

Yeh, will be great to see friends and shop again Lynn, glad you’re feeling better
I’m not looking too far ahead either Alisarah, 7 days will be good

Day 2

Tbh I feel a little silly announcing im on day 2 I guess I shouldn't and that you have to start somewhere, didn't feel like I slept very well last night but definitely woke up feeling more positive than I have done for a while.

Hi, would like to join this thread. I've recently broken three years of being sober :( . Lots of reasons but not using that as an excuse. Its escalating so I need to stop now and get my feet back on the ground.

Welcome guys
Day 6
Ice cream Lynn? I ate a whole pot
Sugar intake is just silly, compulsive
At least it’s not wine, wanted to again though about 5 o’clock, Badly
Hungry and tired. It went away. Lucky I had none to hand and work tomorrow. Contemplated it too much though.
I might make myself meditate tomorrow at 5. I know I’ll still have to work later but it will give me a break

And welcome sambo too. The first days are so hard, until you get a bit of sober momentum going and start feeling the benefits.

Hope your presentation goes well Lynn, celebration virtual cake tomorrow OK?

Day 5 done. Looking forward to seeing the chiropractor tomorrow and getting pulled back into shape.

Hi Winkler, crossed posts. Sorry to hear it’s hard going. I retired from teaching three years ago, so lucky not to have that stress anymore. Is it a temporary situation, with light at the end of the tunnel? Hang in there for another day <:)> , well done for not caving in.
