Day 1
Had a massive 3am chat with OH! I think he’s beginning to realise how tough it is for me to give up!

Day 1 as I had a couple of glasses of wine with our anniversary meal last night, huge step forward was that I acknowledged I had enough to drink and was happy to go home. A few weeks ago one glass would of lead to a total binge fest and me staggering home paralytic.
Well done to everyone that stayed sober, am trying to go without drinking til Christmas day, by that time I know I'll not want to drink alcohol at all.
Hugs to all x

Thanks Rose, am starting to recognise behaviour patterns and nip things in the bud, taken a long time to get to this point,.
Don't give up, take it one day at a time <:)>

Your right Panda! One day at a time! To be honest I couldn’t have a drink today even if I wanted one as I feel so sick! Today I am taking a long hard look at myself! and thinking how I’m going to do this!!

Day 1... have had a dreadful drunk year... compared to how good I was the last 3... changed jobs, became complacent and lazy. Here I am again... I need this.

Welcome back Maypole. Maybe this time's your time, eh? I don't know how many attempts I made, couldn't begin to count! Slowly slowly I learned a little, saw that only I could change myself, saw that external forces were not responsible for my drinking and that not only could only I make the change, but that gift was in my hands all the time. I was in a hopeless state and deeply addicted - if I can change my life so can you <:)>
Thank you lovely sober boots... so good to be back with you al. I need this forum to keep accountable. <:)> :\:
