Morning all :\:
Day 47
Well done Mackintosh & a good idea of cranberry (which I love) in a wine glass!
Great to read your thoughts Dougal & Leslans, so much of what you guys have experienced resonates with me. Particularly planning a relapse into drinking which my subconscious mind is doing for my OH impending birthday weekend away in November :o hope I can stay strong

Hi JJ! 28 days.....that’s amazing!
I’m loving the wine glass containing cranberry juice idea....genius. (::) I have a black tie do in a week or 2 (already slightly dreading, it’s for charity but most are going for the partying) and I think this could be my drink for the evening! Would that work for you Cherry, for the birthday thing?

So agree guys on the nice glass point. I drink elderflower tonic in a big balloon glass with fresh lime chilli and loads of ice. Helps me. Thanks for welcome. JJ

Day 65 here on a cold and frosty morning in deepest Cheshire. Just spent a couple of days in North Wales, Anglesey. It was beautiful over there. Good times. Off golfing again today. Happy days everyone <:)>

Struggled yesterday, mood was low and felt overwhelmed...stayed AF though. It's bright and sunny today and riding and swimming later so onwards and upwards.
Stay strong....keep.positive.

Thanks guys for the welcome means a lot. In London for work and having major permission thoughts. Always used to enjoy a couple at the airport after a busy meeting. I won’t drink though. I’ve got the car at the other end. Still it’s a tough old journey. JJ

Also initially I had only pledged a month but as I’ve move through the weeks I’ve decided on 100 days and moving towards thinking sobriety is the only life choice to suit me. However still have that link with old triggers big time. I’m not going to let them win though. Dig deep. JJ

Hey Leslans, it is such a bloody tough journey, but at least you did clock up a lot of AF days which is a great achievement. <:)>
Hope you got through your low spell Mackintosh, feeling a bit like that myself this week. Suffering from AF boredom syndrome. Ridiculous really I know, hope to keep making strides.
Day 49 (7 weeks today) a total miracle for me

Day 31 sober October done so proud first time AF in 6 yrs where I challenged myself to six months. Round two I feel quite different as it’s for good in my mind. Feels overwhelming but also liberating. Early days I know and this month is a real challenge big 50 with lots of party obstacles to get by but I’m fast forwarding to December and getting ready for sober Christmas!! Thanks my lovely friends. Have a great Halloween!! JJ
