Hey everyone!!!! Good job on all the progress made. Is this just a 4-week challenge? Or can we do it in 4-week increments? I was just wondering. Best to everyone!! Keep up the good work and the better life.

Aaron, <:)>

I do know how you feel. Just start over. Dust yourself off and next time you will do better. Each day is a trial it seems but I do know it gets easier as we go cause we learn something each time about ourselves that maybe we didn't see before. I am now on day 3 and day 3 is better than day 0. Don't give up and don't give in. Take it as it comes. Good for you you went for a walk. That will help I think, it always helps me to feel like I am a part of something much bigger than just this little world that I put myself in when I drink. The world is a big place and alot is always going on in it. When drinking takes over all you can see is the crap after you come to that dark place it will always put you in after the initial first one. It is never good. It just makes you think it will be. Such a whore alcohol is  . I know that is a very strong word  but so is what it does to us. Let it go Aaron and come back into the light. It was a slip and that is all. Don't give it any power by feeling guilty or focusing on it too much. Just learn from it and move on. You are OK. You are still trying and that is what counts. I know cause I just slipped too. It will be much better when you get that first week under you. You know how it is. NO GUILT though. It is non productive and slows you progress alot. We are here for you my friend and this too shall pass.

Sending you some hugs and support. I need them too and I am so lucky to have found this wonderful place and all the wonderful people in it.

Hang in there Aaron. We are all with you mate!!!!

Hi all
well day 28 over and done with yesterday
I cannot believe I have done 4 whole weeks without alcohol
I do know I could not have done it without you guys
thanks a million
you have been a terrific support to me.
still doing this in bitesized chunks and know I still struggle at times but hopefully beginning to recognise my own triggers hey maybe thats an idea for a new thread "recognising your triggers and what to do about it?"
as yet still not sure where I am going with it all... re cutting down/abstaining just know I am not strong enough yet to reintroduce..... but feel fantastic without it which is the main thing!
Is there a five week challenge? am on the September hop but as I've said before the end of September seems a long way off to me and I am still doing baby steps
anyway havent had a lot of time or privacey to post on the threads this past couple of days but will catch up on Saturday
You guys are THE BEST
love
