6/100 ;)?

Leslans, I read your heartfelt post over in the tweekers <:)> . I’m with you on this one, let’s go all the way this time, 2 years and beyond. Maybe no lightning bolts and fireworks but definitely a calmer, happier, more satisfied life <:)>

Leslans I also read your post, first off, here’s a couple of these. <:)> <:)>
We have all done stuff that we regret, are ashamed of, we have hurt the people who love us. But, although, maybe, we can explain, apologise, we can never change the past. For me, I just accept it, I am sorry for things I’ve done, but, we can only say sorry so many times. I think, the best way to not only make a difference for our loved ones, but for ourself, is as you say, total abstinence, for good. I’ve toyed with controlling, limiting, it’s just exhausting, and we all know it ends up at the same place, not a good place.
I also, got a bit jittery coming to one year, I’m on another site, where people kept saying, “1 year, and you “get the magic”, well, I haven’t, I didn’t, and I don’t, but...... I feel, first off, buzzing, that such a heavy drinker as me managed 1 year, oddly enough, I’ve been having and still am having one of my worst years ever, for personal, family problems, normally, I would have just gotten drunk, my mate, wine, would have been my crutch, but nope, I stayed sober, and no, I’ve not had fireworks (well, we have as a family, but more explosions than fire works), but, I’m pleased I have been facing these problems sober.
You, have been doing amazing, you’ve, slipped, you’ve tripped, but, Leslans, you have dusted yourself straight off, owned it, learned from it, and carried on. Total kudos to you, keep fighting, don’t let this beat you, you are a strong woman 💪 get your nine iron (or whatever you would use 🤷‍♀️), and knock that alcohol demon, right out of the park.
I don’t normally say so much in a post, but your heartfelt post, really touched me.
Never give up. Xx
Right behind you all, this thread is an excellent support.

That’s so kind Fiz, I really appreciate your post. I feel a lot stronger today and I’m taking this daily. Milestones are tough, to be honest at my two years I’d planned my relapse way before. BIG MISTAKE. You are doing really well especially as you say it’s been a tough year for other reasons. Keep inspiring us.........you’ve done really well and you’re on that road <:)>

Smashing it JJ. You know one of the best things about sobriety is waking up feeling good. 11/100 here. Golf this morning followed by a bit of retail this afternoon. Have a great day <:)>

Going to plough on with 100 days but remember to deduct 1 day after last night, so

28/100 (-1)

Want to keep my mind in gear and don’t want to make this mistake again. I’ll remember the date (21/11/19) so I can always do an honest recount further along the line. (And try not to confuse myself ;) )

Morning peeps, bit late checking in today. Just sorting out our early Christmas Day for tomorrow as it’s my daughters last day before she goes off to France. Day 12 and I’m doing ok. Presentation Evenimg tonight at the Golf Club, I’m the driver and it’s always a lovely evening.

Yes Jj play a lot, not sure what I’d do if I didn’t play!! Some great friends down there and thankfully it’s not a trigger for me.

Have a good day 😀😀

No permission thoughts but a little down as I’ve got my best frock on and ready to party. It won’t be easy but I will be so much happier tomorrow as I wake up sober. The bubbles will be flowing and there will be a lot of excited ladies in attendance tonight. I must admit I’ve made a big effort and because I feel good it’s a huge incentive to not come home like I’ve been through a hedge backwards.

Interesting, as I’ve got a Christmas dinner to cook tomorrow it will be good to feel alive, sober and looking forward to the day.

Have a good weekend everyone 😌😌
