Church for evensong.
D, I was thinking the other day how lovely it is that both birds and church-goers sing at sunrise and then again at sunset, lauds and vespers. I bet ploughmen also sang on their journeys to and from the fields. Did/does anyone else sing at dawn and dusk? I think I might try turning this into a song...

I hope everyone's day is going well ;)?

Hiya Besties

Sorry for the no shows that I've been putting in lately, I've been really busy going out with Wifey loads venturing out into the garden for some tidy ups and grass cutting and decorating/carpet cleaning loads, yesterday I worked myself to a frazzle vax shampoo cleaning one of the bedroom carpets and also applying a second coat of matt emulsion to another bedroom. This morning I had a good long lie-in which was heavenly.

Today we've put the clotheshorses and clothes back in the small bedroom that I've decorated and carpet cleaned that we call the "drying room", Wifey puts the damp washing on the clotheshorses, puts the dehumidifier on boost, closes the door and it's all dry in 24hrs ish.

I hope you've all survived storm Dennis ok

Take care Besties

Nice to see you Jjjj and John (::) good to know you are both well.

It’s going to be a long week for me, boss is off so someone different every day and it means I have to actually work until finish time 6pm. I have also started doing every Wednesday half day while colleague is on maternity leave, which will go towards more holiday leave later on but means getting up and going to work six days a week. Of course it’s only really a pain this week because the 🤬 *A* needs to be in by Thursday.
I found myself so desperate yesterday I was looking at YouTube videos on ‘how to write a 2000 word essay in five hours’ 😂 fourteen hours later and mine still consists of a 200 word introduction that makes no sense whatsoever.
To do:
Work \/
Quick home lunchtime (less than an hour this week) \/
Work \/
Try and fit in some form of reading
Home \/
C25k 9/2 ( not done yesterday) \:)/
Essay
Bed

<:)> all

Morning

John you sound as though you've been having a lovely time out and about.

Jjjjjjjj not sure I'd compare Anglican Church services with bird life, but you go for it.

AJ. An introduction is great. Well done. Have you expanded where you're going to go after the intro? Some operas and musicals are a bit like essays. The prologue is an intro to all their best tunes.

Gentle day today. I've booked a sort-of beauty session at a new venue. See what they're like for eyebrows before I get brave and book waxing.

Have a good day y'all.

Buongiorno,

To do:
Work
Read
Work
With a couple of dog walks in-between

Italian pharmacist day today. Apparently he talks a LOT, again great any other week in fact I’d relish a couple of days to learn some Italian phrases, but please leave me alone in a corner with my books 🤓.

I asked for an extension on the essay, a few days grace, not sure if I have one but I used it to full effect last night and watched Homeland on Netflix 😂. In my defence by the time I’d finished my run/showered and had tea it was 9.30pm, and I really did need to step back and gain perspective.

Have a good day everyone

Ciao

Only me...

To do:
Work half day
Walk doggy
Complete C25k 🥳
Pilates (I have missed a few weeks now, so consequently I’m not really that bothered) I could always try a YouTube version if I were organised enough to fit it in. Decisions decisions 🤔.

Use the time in-between productively.

Hope everyone is doing OK.

Pilates online. I did a you tube yoga thing once with daughter . We sat watching it, following a beginners video, eating some crisps .... and the you tube instructor told us she was proud of us 😊!

I didn’t go to Pilates, I only started going to ‘socialise’ more, and it was OK at first I caught up with someone who I hadn’t seen in years, then she stopped going. I tried talking to a woman who opened a Vegan cafe here, genuinely interested the conversation became a bit one sided, in fact ‘pulling hen’s teeth’ came to mind when the conversation ended with her only answering my questions. Maybe her business is doing well enough not to promote.
And everyone else does that thing of, ‘I’m here with my friend/friends so there’s no way I’m going to even look at you, never mind talk to you’.

People are funny things.

I’m not moaning, just giving myself a get out clause😉

To do:
Work - today the Italian pharmacist again, a bit too ‘touchy’ for my liking and has no concept of ‘space’, bad ‘coffee breath’, and likes the sound of his own voice. I decided that I would just read/note anyway, I shall do the same today.

Deadline for the assignment was today, I am nowhere near done, extension was granted until 5th of March, I only need until Monday, it turns out they are on strike for two weeks anyway.

🤔 turns out I am moaning. Assignment stress.

Ciao

Hope it’s not too stressful,the assignment,aj.

Yes, people can be funny ,in life and on forums too . Drivers can be ‘funny’ ,or rather crazy . There is a car I’ve seen 2x now whilst walking the dogs driving ,and the car is vrooming like they think they are in the Grand Prix ,in a 30 zone !!

Done ,some house work today , no appts , so have been trying to catch up slowly. Must take dogs out in a mo . OH has gone for his frozen shoulder which I’ve been telling him to go and see for weeks . Hopefully it will be ok . School rang about daughter’s medication...I’d forgotten to put it in her lunch box (w)

Hope to doers are ok .

I hope the assignment goes well, AJ - and that you survive the visit of the Italian pharmacist ;)?

I hope everyone's having a good week <:)>

I'm on holiday now until a week on Saturday, so I've spent the last two days catching up on housework and 'other work' (proofreading: I have a job to finish for Tuesday, but it's a fairly short booklet so it shouldn't be very difficult).

Today's to-doing:
1) Catch up properly with BE
2) Proofreading
3) Reply to long-neglected friend
4) Arrange for the installation of a new electricity meter
5) A writing project I'm involved in has kicked off again. I need to i) start a new story for it; ii) save the (currently abandoned) story that it's replacing in a 'future possibles' folder and tidy this folder; iii) attend to some project admin
6) Hot bath with a good book (Adam Zamoyski's history of Poland)

Have a great day, all \:)/

Hi all.
Pickles hope you managed a nice relaxing day too while everyone was out. I eventually got around to vacuuming on Wednesday (procrastination) and realised I probably hadn’t done it since the Christmas tree came down. That’s the problem when you live on your own, you don’t think you make a mess 😊

Jjjj you like tidying don’t you😉 ( nice to have you back, you too try and have some rest on your week off).

I’m working with someone I have never met today, five days, four different people, usually I would relish the opportunity to have a good old chat with someone different.

I finished C25k on Wednesday, so now need to work out how to get to 10k. I haven’t quite managed 3 miles yet, 2.5. So I was thinking I might do another week of 30 minute runs and gradually increase by a few minutes each time. At least now I can put my own playlist on the IPod - I just need to work out how to do it.

Ciao, Adios, Goodbye

Excellent work, AJ! (::) ;)? And I think your plan for increasing the runs sounds good. I'm intending to start C25K again from Monday. I'd also been wondering how to continue after completing the initial course, so I'll be really interested to know how you get on.

 I have to confess that the older I get, the more like Jack Lemmon in The Odd Couple I become. I honestly think it's a replacement for boozing. I used to obsess about having to finish all the beer in the house, or whatever, and now I'm obsessed (slightly... cough, cough) with neatness and order

I try not to be too anal about it. However...

I have to say I’m a bit ‘funny’ about certain things . We had left daughter at home to look after junior ,whilst taking younger dog to a neurologist. When we got back ,there were bits of dried mud in the hallway . Daughter did say she was looking for the collar ,and had walked in her walking shoes . I had to sweep it up straight away , it erked me . This morning the social worker put her scarf on the table ........... I was staring at it for a bit ,it was bugging me . I imagined moving the scarf to put over the chair ,but I didn’t . Would have thought it was rude . Maybe next time I will just put it on the hook .

Once a friend of daughter’s,father , put his hat on the table 😬😬😬. ..........

Did some tidying up anyway . Don’t worry aj I’m still finding Christmas pine needles under the radiator. They even could be from the year before  ! Dog hair is a difficult one, no matter how much you hoover , you still get dog hair ! Well done on the run btw !

Hope all other to doers are well .

I'm like that too, Pickles! It really bugged me yesterday. I did all the hoovering but then I had to let the dog into the garden. Of course, she came back in with wet and muddy paws (she has feet...and they make prints!). I don't mind the damp prints too much, but I am pernickety about knowing that these muddy prints will eventually dry into dust on the floor. But that's just life with a dog, I guess! :)

I just took her out for a short walk. It's really wet and wild out there! But I won't worry about the carpets again until tomorrow - I promise ;)
