Lovely photos JJ

Hope you start to feel better soon Leslans, I know that’s it’s awful when you feel so low in mood, particularly if there’s no specific reason or worry on your mind .... but it will pass .... just have to keep walking. I’m not in a very good frame of mind myself at the moment ....I’m just trying to concentrate on getting through the new year sober so that I can feel a bit stronger in January.....and eating ....I’m doing a lot of eating .... that may not be healthy, but it does help....maybe I’ll tackle that in the new year as well

Cherry ... there’s an article in the paper today about some big changes coming soon due the the planets and how they are going to align with each other .... first one middle of January apparently.... watch this space :o

Hey girls.....thanks. The planet situation made me smile 😊. I’ve been in my bed since about 6.00 pm. It’s just stuff. The dog deteriorating, daughter away and just low. It tiredness as well. A bad night with our little grandson didn’t help. Anyway your kind words do help, we’re in this together and that support helps. I’m a woman of a certain age too which doesn’t help 😳😳.

Sunday will be better methinks 😘

Hey leslans, I’m sorry to hear you’ve felt low, I have too.
Like you say - just stuff here too and the time of year definitely doesn’t help.
I’ve felt better today but up and down over the last few days for sure.
Hope you feel better tomorrow x

Dear leslans big hugs.
Hope today is a better day and that a good nights sleep has helped you feel a bit better. You are so good at supporting us and we are all behind you. It’s good you knew you wouldn’t drink even though you felt low. Thinking of you wee old lady pup. It’s such a worry when they deteriorate your heart must be so heavy.
Cherry and lynn you are both doing so well and it’s such a roller coaster it’s so helpful having you walking side by side through this journey. Hope today is a good day for you both.
Wilson still keeping on my friend.
Day 90 today and we are going away to the coast for a few days over new year really looking forward to lots of sleep Rainey walks on the beach and planning a bit of running. I’ll stay in three monthers until January although unbelievable the new decade is only three sleeps away.
Take care guys.
JJ

Thanks for your best wishes guys. I’m still not great but I’ve realised what has a lot to do with it. I’ve been taking Vensir XL antidepressants for quite some time. I was originally prescribed them over two years ago. I’m unable to take HRT because our family has a history of blood clots, my father passing away as a result of a Pulmonary Embolism. I stopped taking them just before Christmas as I ran out and with there only being Friday as a working day haven’t been able to get a prescription. I think my situation is being made worse by withdrawal of these meds. I will contact my GP first thing in the morning. I feel sick, light headed, tearful, brain fog etc etc. Everything associated with withdrawal. In fact I feel terrible. No wonder I don’t want to drink 😂😂

So it’s day 49/100. Happy Sunday 😝😝😝😝😝😝

Thanks team for encouragement
Day 91 today. The last two months have gone by in a blur of eating sleeping and parties. The parties strangely have been the easiest bit. The routine evenings and the thoughts which come out of nowhere have been the hardest thing. I often get what feels like a wave of panic especially if I allow myself to think of the enormity of giving up forever. I try to get my thoughts back to the moment when this happens and eat something!!!
I’d like to say these thoughts are getting less but they’re not but they don’t scare me as much and I certainly don’t worry they will make me drink now. I’m so tired though could sleep for ever exhausting business getting sober. I’m also not as scared of going to the wine isle anymore in fact yesterday I went to majestic to see if they had any nice AF wines for New Years night. Strangely I met a couple of friends who know I’m alcohol free and felt guilty!!!! Weird emotions.
I must say one the the biggest help has knowing you guys are here and checking in regularly. It’s so powerful walking this journey side by side with people who understand everything
Spent yesterday watching The Witcher OMG it’s amazing watched the whole series in a day.
Take care guys
JJ

Morning. Welcome to Maria and Exhiled. It’s good to see you around these parts.

Jj, you are making me feel exhausted with all your comings and goings. Make sure you look after yourself <:)>

Thanks Winkler for popping by yesterday, it was appreciated. I hope things get better for you too.

Day 50 here. Miraculously I’ve got a doctors appointment tomorrow at 8.10 am..........ha ha wouldn’t have wanted that if I’d have been drinking!!!!!! There must be someone looking out for me, it’s with the best doctor, the only appointment until 6th January and I’m desperate. That and a little robin sitting on the picket fence sunbathing kind of cheered me up somewhat.

I’ve been to hell and back these past couple of days. Absolutely shocking. Thankfully I’ve slept a great deal. OH has behaved like a complete useless prat, told him I was very nauseous........he decided to cook the turkey carcass for soup on Saturday, the one thing which makes me feel and actually makes me sick (goes back to pregnancy). Anyway I freaked whilst being physically sick by the smell. Anyway I got over the episode and he decides to cook it again yesterday!!!!!! Then sloped off and said there wasn’t anything else in the house to eat when I was so angry. Rant over. He went off to see his beloved football team after that, thank god.

Just had to get that off my chest 🤣🤣

Still feel ill but slightly better than yesterday after turkeygate. Cancelled golf even though it’s a lovely day. Must be poorly!!!!!

Happy Monday everyone <:)>
